Purpose of the Workshop
The Combinatorial
and Computational Mathematics Center (Com2MaC) at
Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)
in Korea, will host an yearly international Workshop
in an area of computational number theory and cryptography from
June 26 to June 28, 2000. It is aimed to exchange informations
and study cryptography as the number theory aspects.
It is hoped that the meeting will encourage and stimulate
further research on the security and implementation
of cryptosystems and related areas, and encourage
collaboration between mathematicians, computer
scientists and engineers in the academic, industry
and government sectors.
There will be approximately
13 invited lectures (total 22 hour lectures with the
remaining time used for informal discussions. |

Workshop Proceedings
All speakers are invited
to submit a complete version of their work to the workshop
Proceedings, a Special Issue of the journals Discrete Mathematics and Discrete Applied
Mathematics devoted to
the Com2MaC Workshop. The planned issues will not
be comprehensive "proceedings" issues, but
will be thoroughly refereed at the same level as
in any of the major publications in the area, and
will consist of selections of the best contributions
presented at the Workshop. |
|
Location
The workshop will
take place in the buliding at the POSTECH, Pohang, Korea.
Pohang is located approximately 250 miles south of Seoul
(or about 40-minute fly from Kimpo International Airport). |
|
Participant
support
Limited funds are
available for partial support of participants, in particular
for graduate students and junior researchers. Requests
